Synapse Medical Solutions Limited

Canterbury-based Synapse has developed an advanced ‘electronic’ wound dressing which increases the rate of tissue repair, accelerates the closure of even the most difficult of wounds and  optimizes cellular activity/post exercise recovery. Independent studies involving Synapse’s technology have demonstrated excellent results on patients with skin ulcers and trauma wounds.

Intelligent Retail

Newbury-based Intelligent Retail Intelligent Retail has designed a robust point of sale (EPoS) and e-commerce solution that meets the needs of smaller independent retailers. A well developed and executed commercial model is ensuring a rapid growth in sales.

Alinea Interactive

Based in Milton Keynes, Alinea Interactive is a company specialising in the development of three-dimensional, virtual simulation software utilising gaming technology for use in e learning and other online interactive environments. Alinea have recently delivered a virtual reality e-learning application for the Ministry of Defence’s Trojan and Titan tank.

Sports Analysis Ltd

Sports Analysis provides a range of applications and services to the golfing marketplace, including the company’s patent protected ‘PinPoint Hole Locator’ which uses highly accurate mapping technologies to pinpoint the exact location of course holes. Customers already include St Andrews, Wentworth, K Club and Valderamma.

Path Intelligence Ltd

Path Intelligence has developed a proprietary, patent-pending technology that is able to locate mobile phones in a similar fashion to active RFID tags. The technology is used to provide shopping centre management companies with quantitative data on indoor shopper flows thus enabling them to price retail units accordingly.

Bac2

Southampton-based Bac2 has invented a low-cost mouldable plastic material that conducts electricity. From many potential applications the company has initially focused on producing Biopolar Plates for Fuel Cells which will power anything from cars to laptops. Bac2 has patents pending in the US, Europe and Japan.
