SHOWCASE: Investment Readiness - Sports Analysis Ltd
SPORTS ANALYSIS LTD - THE BUSINESS OF MANAGING GOLF
MARKET OFFER - Digital Mapping For Golfers
Surrey Enterprise Hub client Sports Analysis Ltd has developed PinPoint™, a mapping system capable of building a virtual model of a golf course accurate to three inches. This can generate recurring revenue through a number of spin-off products such as course guides, course management packages, 3-D joystick fly-through and tournament management capability.
The products, based on GPS mapping data, allow golf clubs and operators in the industry to better manage their business and help control their costs.
PREPARING FOR THE MARKET - Mentoring Brings Success
Sports Analysis used Accelerator Funding through Finance South East to develop sales of PinPoint™. Through the Enterprise Hub Network it was able to access additional support, for example working with a mentor on a range of issues including opening up international sales channels. The Hub also helped the company with introductions to UK Trade and Invest which advised it on sales and marketing in the US and with help on Intellectual Property issues.
“Working through the Investment Readiness programme in preparation for the Hub Showcase Event has shown us it is vital to demonstrate to potential investors that we’ve eliminated as much potential risk as possible.” Simon Roper, PinPoint™.
GOING GLOBAL
The ambition is to make PinPoint™ a significant global business. Building on their success in the golf industry Sports Analysis will enter marketplaces beyond golf where they already understand the business opportunities.
Marilyn Huckerby Enterprise Hub Network Director commented, “Sports Analysis has developed their product range based on a deep understanding of their customers’ needs. Simon and his team have a depth of business experience mixed with entrepreneurial drive which has enabled them to bring their ideas to life and to attract initial funding from Finance South East and other investors.”
