Cooking up success

Food Hub client, Ella’s Kitchen, has developed a new brand of healthy foods for children. The Ella’s Kitchen range contains nothing but gently pasteurised organic fruit and veg. Ellas Kitchen products are launching nationally in partnership with Sainsbury’s and Waitrose, in spite of the fact that the brand had never sold a single product beforehand.

Ella’s Kitchen puts its success down to innovation at all levels:

  • Creative innovation: The brand’s funky look and feel is inspired by kids, yet also appeals to parents.
  • Packaging innovation: Using convenient, lightweight, re-sealable pouches to provide baby food and developing bespoke clip strips to efficiently and prominently present in store.
  • Technical innovation: Developing a production process to create shelf stable, long life products without requiring any additives or preservatives.
