Isle of Wight Enterprise Hub Client, WAB Energy Systems, has launched a new service to bring its considerable expertise in renewable energy services and products to UK and international clients
“Streams” (Sustainable Tidal and River Energy Assessment and Management Service) investigates the energy generation potential of rivers and coastal tidal zones. The service runs from initial assessment right through to engineering drawings and the development of plans.
“There is huge potential for generating renewable energy from tides, waves and river streams; the big issue is how to do it cost-effectively,” says MD David Edwards.
“This is where WAB comes in,” says Hub Director, Ken Dueck. “Its experience can offer key insights into how potential can be turned into reality and we’re expecting it to be instrumental in establishing renewable energy projects along the south coast and across the globe.”
