A low-cost professional publishing tool, that avoids the costs of ‘user licenses,’ is revolutionising magazine production for small and medium sized publishers
Canterbury Enterprise Hub client Publishing Research Laboratories (PURE Labs) has developed “Intelligent Flatplan”, Internet-based publication management software with a pay-as-you-go pricing structure.
“Our design goals were clear: simplicity, flexibility and cross-platform use (Mac, PC and mobile). Within seconds, users can generate any number of tailored flaplans ready to share using drag and drop tools,” says Managing Director, Jon Barrett. Users purchase credits, one per page, which restricts costs to the size and frequency of each title.
Enterprise Hub Director, David Butler added, “The Intelligent Flatplan caught the eye of the Great Ideas in Science and Technology (GRIST) programme which is providing a funding and support package. With its help this truly innovative technology will set a new benchmark in magazine and newsletter management the world over.”
