Community Wins Award
Thames Valley Enterprise Hub client E-Quote Central(EQC) has seen its ground breaking approach to procurement validated, with a group of Wiltshire schools using its intelligent buying community(IBC) picking up a Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply(CIPS) supply management award.
Hugh Taylor, EQC Director, said, “By sharing in each other’s experience, these schools have achieved significant savings while maintaining their focus on their core business. We are looking forward to more communities supporting one another.”
This is the first time that a procurement project in schools has been recognised in this way, and it puts them in the company of corporate giants such as E.ON UK, Fujitsu, and GlaxoSmithKline.
Thames Valley Hub Director Ed Cooper said, “It’s great to see the hard work that EQC and their clients have put in recognised. Thames Valley Hub has been able to help with IP assistance, networking opportunities, market research and helping to secure investment, and we hope to continue to support EQC in the future.”
