Perfect Education
Newbury Enterprise Hub has created an exciting and unusual partnership with local schools, teachers and the Education Business Partnerships network to form Perfect Education Ltd – a Not-for-profit company that has developed a unique online tool to help young people prepare for the modern workplace.
The Personal Effectiveness Tool (PET) is an online software tool that has been specifically developed for use with schools’ enterprise activities. PET uses the National Curriculum Framework for Enterprise, which identifies 14 capabilities that students need to achieve as part of their Enterprise learning. Within PET these capabilities are broken down into subsets, which can be easily assessed by the teacher during specific activities.
Newbury Hub Director Ed Cooper commented, “Perfect Education is an exciting and somewhat unusual example of how Enterprise Hub input can help turn a market need into a genuine business opportunity. The added benefit is that Perfect Education’s products will be used by schools to develop the next generation of entrepreneurs.”
