Turning point to export success
An innovative transport sound system, "Soundscape", produced by Sittingbourne Hub client Turning Points Ltd, has been purchased by Norway's second largest transport company, Tide coaches, for its Bergen-based sightseeing operation. The first installation was completed in June and Tide expresses itself delighted with the system's ease-of-use and error-free performance. TIDE is now looking to extend its use of the system for the 2008 tourism season whilst MAN says that it has no reservations in recommending Soundscape to other coach operators.

Surrey Enterprise Hub company grows 80% for second year running
Remote backup, recovery and archive company Thinking SAFE™ has announced year on year growth of 80%, for the second year running. Managing Director Ed Jones commented, "Our organic growth over the past few years has validated our business model of delivering software to enterprise customers and managed service providers, and managed service to our mid-tier clients.

Sun never sets on Solarstar
Sittingbourne Enterprise Hub client, Solarstar Technology Ltd, are forging links with several Asian countries in the Tsunami zone to licence their innovative renewable technologies. Their Solar powered generators, lanterns, flood defences and water purification systems are attracting great interest, particularly amongst countries that have experienced disaster at first hand.

Nanotechnology Innovator raises £225,000
Oxfordshire Enterprise Hub company Polymertronics, a nanotechnology start-up, secured £225,000 of investment earlier this year - combining £150,000 from a business angel and £75,000 from a prestigious Research and Development Grant. Polymertronics was introduced to its new investor by Thames Valley Investment Network (TVIN), a business angel investment network specialising in helping growing companies to raise funding.
